You beat me to it. But since Jacksonville has never been part of National Train Day, I was curious if anyone was interested in hosting a National Train day event here. I think all it would really amount to is an information table with brochures, maps, timetables etc. And people to man the table. Maybe MetroJacksonville, as an organization, would be interested in hosting such an event, maybe at the Landing.

Since Amtrak is in charge of this, it really is all about them and Passenger traffic. A real National Train Day would encompass both freight and passenger, but that is just me. Too bad the freight vendors are not part of the day.
