Participate in Jacksonville's History which will take place behind the Old St. Lukes Hospital and the home of the  Jacksonville Historical Society. They have graciously allowed everyone to park.

This is a citywide sponsored event. We'll be meeting at 8 and will go to 11 then after everyone can then go to RAM Riverside Arts Market

There are cleanup sites all over the city. This location is for the die hards. All are welcome but there will be two ways to really make a difference. If you have a kayak, jon boat, any small craft it will be a benefit to get in to those hard to reach places. It will be a high tide. Wear waders, boots, Supplies will be there but for the die hards just bring some of your own gear and notch it up. I'll bring a wheelbarrow, a rake, shovel if anyone else has one you can bring it.

It will be fun. There is so much to clean up. Everyone will find their own zone and then zero in.

Any scout troops and other groups realize that your efforts will catapult this location that is being done for the first time to a future Downtown Destination. Its Happening.

Its that time of year again.

"Hogans Creek is not a fluff site." Is how Vivian Harrell tells people about this location when it comes to clean up locations.

Shout out to anyone  with the Jacksonville Historical Society that can contact Vivian Harrell. Deadline looming.

Keith Myers is the site captain again this year.
We Khan Make It Happen.

Capt. You are right.

Just have not heard back from  someone from the Historical Society to get the parking permission for this years cleanup so Vivian can put it on the press release notification that it can be a clean up site.

I stopped by today  around 11:30 and saw Ennis and got a phone number from someone else and for some reason maybe I got the phone number wrong but haven't got the permission slip so we can park.

I saw an email from Vivian and we still don't have an Okey-Dokey to park. Just scrambling. Thats all. I'll post the exact date for this years River Celebration.

I just screwed up.

Apologies to Vivian Harrell and the Jacksonville Historical Society. Emily Lisska sent an email and I missed it.

If Hogans Creek doesn't make the list I messed up.

Still crossing my fingers.
