New Orleans Creole Cuisine Coming to 5 Points?

Of all places, Gini's Deli on Post Street, around the corner from the 5 Points strip has hired an experienced chef from New Orleans and is starting to offer Creole items on their menu at breakfast and lunch.

I was given samples of their beignets and cafe au lait this morning which took me directly to the Cafe du Monde.  Can't wait to try some of the lunch specials.  Pork cutlet sandwich!  Yum!  Red beans and Rice on Mondays!

The chef tells me that she was trained at the culinary institute in New Orleans and has worked at many of the major hotels there for the past twenty years.
