I have been.  They have real thater seats, with tables in front of each row.  Good selection of bottled beers, and both Intuition and Bold City brews on tap.  The screen is bigger, too.  From talking to the owners - really nice couple - they will put in a kitchen after the first of the year, to expand on the menu from the current snack foods.

I was there to see Melancholia over the weekend.  The renovations make it a very comfortable, even cozy, atmosphere to see a film in.  The new screen and sound system were clearly up to a strong indi film that needed both to be experienced properly.  But most of all, the people were great.  Wonderfully nice, courteous and really committed to what they are doing.  I will be going back as often as possible to support them.  They have to potential to be a real art house success story IF THEY CAN GET AND KEEP THE SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY.  Ok, I will get off my soap box now.  Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, everybody!

Sound and picture was incredible for Girl with the Dragon tattoo

new stadium seats are a huge improvement and red and black drapes on side walls are cool

I saw the 3:30 Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Sound was absurdly good, good sized screen, nice set up. Tinnnny crowd, but I expected that from a 3:30 showing on a Wednesday. Kinda weird: they have a bathroom in the front of the theatre, right next to the screen. Someone went during the show, left the light on...awkward.

Also, first time I've ever had an 'intermission' during a movie under 3 hours. Anyone know if this was a one-time deal? It'd be quite annoying if they used this ploy to get their food/drink sales up mid-showing.

That bathroom has always been there. The other bathrooms are upstairs, so I think it is part of the Disability Act.

Yeah I don't have a problem with it, quite convenient. The 'awkwared' part was the people who kept using it, walking in front of the screen, and forgetting to turn off the light.

Could be easily remedied by replacing the switch with a motion sensor that would turn the light off after a few minutes of inactivity in the restroom, no?

Then you'd have to wiggle around a bit while on the toilet to keep it on!

The handicap bathroom does indeed have a motion sensor.
