Rick Mullaney to head new Jacksonville University institute

I am glad to see this - not only for Rick, but for Jacksonville.

“I look forward to working with the expert faculty of Jacksonville University, the administration and the community to create an Institute that will link learning to current-day policy making," Mullaney said. "We have the opportunity to build this Public Policy Institute to be the hub for many important discussions and development of many influential leaders. The expertise on this campus will be the base for the first masters degree in public policy in Florida and will attract students and leaders for many years to come.”

Why do failed politicians always end up at universities?  Oh well, as long as they don't let him try to teach a course on ethics in public policy.

I'd regard him as successful in government for quite a long time. At any rate I can name at least one successful politician who has transitioned well to a much bigger university job.
