I had to revive this thread to point out the amazing upset I am about to pull in the first round of the playoffs.  Considering how little I accomplished last season and that one of my other fantasy teams is 1-12, please forgive me for the end zone dance I'm doing over this  :D

I do not know of this fantasty football that you speak of, but I am sure it is impressive. With Addison sure to be upset, the reigning champ will be the highest seed remaing.

I know some of you are still playing for this season, but please look over the post I put up regarding league changes for next year.I haven't gotten any feedback, but the main thing is the keeper selection for next year.

Fine.  If you can gloat, then I can be a whiny, sore loser.

WTF!!!!  How can you score the second highest point total in the entire 14 team league and not make the playoffs?  It's a sham.  It's a travesty.  It's obvious that the whole thing was a set up from the beginning.  You suburbia hacks should be ashamed of yourselves for even being in the position that you all are in right now.

Really?!?!

Let's go to the tale of the tape:  Only 3 teams scored as many points as last place in the Urban League.  Thanks to Field lobbying to get a spot and then not playing his team, you were down another competitor that you each played twice this season, the fantasy version of the Colts.  Only one of you faced a schedule as hard as ours in the Urban Core.

Enjoy your cardboard trophy and your hollow win.  It means nothing.

To be the best, you have to beat the best, unless your team was in the Suburbia division.

;D ;D ;D ;D 8)

Edit:  Yes.  The changes are welcomed.  Now, the next step, as alluded above, will be to mix in some Suburbian Christians to the Urban Lion's Pit.   8)

sadly I lost to Field's team the first time through...even with 2 of his starter on IR!

and now that the season is over, Rivers is finally putting up decent numbers....ugh!

and yes Lucas, I'm good with the plan for next year

Wacca Pilatka

Lucas, I'm good with the plan too.

NRW, I agree with you.  I got extremely lucky to win several in a row during the regular season with relatively low point totals.

To jump on the band wagon above to make myself feel better about my disappointing season I post the following...

Urban Core - Points Scored = 11,821.06    Points Against =11,290.75
Suburbia - Points Scored = 9,743.93    Points Against = 9,734.24

The Urban Core was obviosuly the better division.  :) :)

I need to send Antonio Brown a gift basket. He went beast mode. Baring Stephen Jackson getting hurt in warm ups I should pull out the W on Addison.

Disaster for the Beetees... Jones-Drew goes berserk... they pull Aaron Rodgers in the third quarter while on his way to a 40 point + game... Murray for Cowboys drops in the first quarter...

Ugh... congrats to Congro! :o
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

You've got to be kidding me...  Yesterday was the most dreadful day of Fantasy Football I've ever had.  #1 Seed in both of my league ($1,500 goes to 1st place in the other one.)..  And I was ousted in both leagues, in blowout fashion.

Congrats to the winners.  Tough day..

I forgot to set my lineup for the first three weeks of the season, and by that point decided to mail it in.

I just got overwhelmed with my workload over football season, and didnt intentionally set out to ignore this league.

So, for anyone I knocked out of the playoffs or destroyed their season unkowingly... I'll be up at Mojos tonight grabbing a bite to eat after I leave work 7-730ish, I'll buy you a beer.

I lost this week but at least my middle of the road team made the playoffs.  The crazy thing is my sorry team led the suburbia division in total points but if it were in the other division, it would have been the 6th place team.  Anyway, my money league team put up 157 points yesterday.  My opponent will need a big night to catch me, although its not impossible.

Well folks..... There's no denying the results: The urban core is significantly better than suburbia. The science is settled. The debate is over.

I can't believe it!  I'm in the championship game!

Of course looking at my opponent's roster, I fully expect to be shellacked.

Oh?!?  You mean the playoffs are still going on?

yeah well, I'm a bit bitter....sure I finished the regular season on a 3-game win streak....but after not making the playoffs because Philip Rivers didn't get hot until December (I should have known), my starting lineup would have scored 130 and 170 points during the playoff weeks.
