The cities with "San" in the name always seem to top the lists.  Maybe a name change to "San Jacksonville" or just "San Jax" would secure us a spot at the top as well?  :)

Another list where Jax scores big. Sometimes I really wonder why so many people on this forum are so negative about their city, particularly when so much is going well for it?

We're critical because we love it here so much.  Think of it like this:  The city is like your '69 Mustang that you've been working on for years to get it running and looking great but there are little issues that keep popping up.  Rust along the chrome trim, leather seats cracking, build up in the carbureator, etc.  Would you ignore those things because hey its a great and beautiful car?  Probably not.  I feel the same about Jacksonville.  She is a beautiful and great city with great things going, however, there are still those nitpicky things that get all the attention until they are fixed.

I can understand that completely. At times, I feel the same way about my hometown.

Jason, it really is a credit to you Jacksonvillians to have such passion about your city, and I think it shines through every time I visit there. It is another reason that the city is so appealing to me.
