Anyone else having issues with Chrome?

I am running Chrome and for the past few weeks, I am having issues with pages loading, specifically the forums.

I will click a link and the only thing that loads is the banner ad at the top of the page while the rest of the page is blank / white.

Sometimes 1 reload click will fix it other times it takes several.

Anyone else having this issue running Chrome browser?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Trevor

I've had the same problem over the last couple of weeks too, Trevor.  Hadn't happened before then.

Wonder if there was a site upgrade that is messing with Chrome's innards?

I've gotten that for a long time now running Chrome on my Mac, but Chrome on any of my PC's doesn't seem to be affected.  On the Mac, sometimes I've got to reload the page 3 or 4 times to get anything but the ad.  Thought maybe it was just a way to generate more ad revenue :-)

I'm running Chrome on Win 7.

Glad I'm not alone in this, since troubleshooting PC's is not fun.

No issues here on a Mac. I don't use chrome, but I do use chromium (it's where google gets the source from before they add all their stuff):

I also have had this problem for a while. I do use Chrome almost exclusively, but I must say it's only happened with this site. Maybe there's something with the banner ad's code that slows or stops the rest of the page sometimes?

I've had the problem for a while too. I don't know what it is. Sometimes the whole page loads but sometimes just the ad shows up. When I refresh, the whole page shows up.

Why do some ads have to flash?  Just like television...the ads are more important than the content or program.
I truly believe this is a Thugish reminder to us to UPGRADE our slow computer that we just bought/Built and is obsolete 5 months later.

How many ads are on some sites?...Will they add more?
I don't have a problem with loading the whole page as I Boycott King Bill Gates and run LINUX..(5 years now) and Yes MAC folks.. LINUX is your operating platform...Not Apple.(Most Mac users try to correct me)
The Advertisements seem to slow everyone down.
Does ANYONE actually pay attention let alone actually click on these ads? YES I get it..they pay for the site. But they still SUCK.

Eh, I'll correct you, because you're wrong.  Mac OS X and Linux are both based on Unix.  Mac OS X is not based on Linux.  As an analolgy, if Unix is grapes, Mac OS X is wine and Linux is grape juice - they're both produced from the same ingredients, but one takes a bit more work and costs money and is great, while one is cheap/free and... well, everybody likes grape juice, but they might not if it took them hours to figure out how to open the bottle.

I have that issue with Firefox, however with Chrome, it works just fine.

Brian, I like your analogy. It is correct, and I still haven't quite gotten everything out of the juice due to the massive selection of personal customization choices (Eh..sometimes  a lot can be too much.)
You are a minority as most Mac users just USE thier computers rather than adapt them.
My point was that so far Linux hasn't bogged me down like anything Microsoft does with these flashing ads.I run the latest Firefox.
Could this be an adobe problem? with Microsoft users not having the latest upgrades (Read: you are the tester for us..even though you paid for a fully working program)
Sounds like the gaming community where downloading "Patches" was required to make your game run correctly.

So the problem occurs in both Chrome and Firefox, on both OS X and Windows.  Sounds like a problem in the programming of the ad setup or the site itself, no?  I installed Adblock Plus on Chrome (Mac), but now I get a blank white page about 20% of the time, rather than the ad - so Adblock is doing it's job, but the problem is still there.
