So I have been trying to sell us to my out of girlfriend that stays in Charlotte. So far I have been doing good. But Jacksonville has done much better. She routinely tells me that we have more stuff to do than Charlotte, so the process is starting :-).

I would love for her to move this year, but I think 2013 will be more likely a date.

I brought her here for the Jazz Festival and she slowly started falling for the town :-)

Get her out on the River, take her to the Beach.  Charlotte doesn't have those.

Yea DW, that has been apart of the strategy. She is coming for Labor Day, every-time she comes down we hit the beach and the river on a daily basis.

Take her to dinner at Biscotti's and stroll the Shoppes of Avondale.  Charlotte doesn't have anything like that either.

Charlotte kinda sucks, IMHO. Durham is nice, much better than CLT. Nothing to do in CLT besides banking or the airport.

So, Manasia, how did the weekend go?  Where did you go and what was her reaction?

Unfortunately DW, I was sick and she was sick, so we both hobbled together to a few places. She still enjoyed her time tho, watching the sunset on the beach, and her enjoying the Pier at night were really good times.

Well darn!  Try getting her down here again soon.  Maybe when the weather is good here and snowbound in Charlotte.  That should work.
