Tonight is Klinnsman debut game. I do not have high expectations, he has only been on the job for a few moments.
The race is not always to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor satisfaction to the wise,
Nor riches to the smart,
Nor grace to the learned.
Sooner or later bad luck hits us all.

I agree - I don't have high expectations for tonight, but I am a lot more excited about the Men's team than I have been in quite some time.  I'm really interested in seeing what Klinsmann can do to the US soccer structure from the ground up over the next few years.

Yea man I feel the same way.

Flat first half.....  Klinsmans comments after half time sound very much the politician.  Last 20 minutes we had some great chances and looked a whole lot better.

US soccer could have gotten Klinsman after the last world cup.  I believe they wanted to save some coin by keeping Bradley and had no intentions from keeping him past gold cup.  I hear that he will be signing as head coach of Egypt by Friday.

I believe it was former TU sports writer Mike Bianchi who wrote "I'd rather sit alone in a dark closet for four hours than watch a soccer match."  :)

If that was him, he has changed his attitude. He was on Pete Prisco's show back when the women were playing the world cup and was talking about watching soccer. I believe he attributed to taking more of an interest in it since his kids play it.

Danno it was the coin, and they finally gave in on letting him run the show they way he wanted too in my opinion.

Mike Bianchi = Nobody.

When Klinsmann brought Shea and Agudelo in, that really changed the complexion of the game.  Those guys were on fire.

I was happy to see the 3 Mexican-Americans start.  I think it sends the right message to a lot of players and fans who had previously felt left out.  Who knows, we might actually win some fans who might be willing to support their 'new' home team if they start seeing players who look like them and talk like them.  It's certainly more representative of what I see when I go see youth games.

Breck Shea represented FC Dallas (My Club) well.

Yes.  Night and day compared to his first national team callup.  He looked very confident.  I'm glad he's having a great season at FC Dallas.

I will always like that guy because he was nice to my kids when we saw him play in Orlando at a preseason tournament.  It's pretty easy to win me over that way.

Also, in case you're interested, the Philadelphia Union just announced they've acquired Freddy Adu.

All my peeps in Dallas say he is a great guy as well.
