Could women help save the economy? We think so. Sign our petition to convince our leaders to agree.

Of the 90 women in Congress, Nancy Pelosi was the only one involved in the recent debt ceiling final negotiations. None served on the Senate's "Gang of Six." We all know how that went; the process was unsightly, and the outcome unpopular. Had more women been involved, the result would have been better for everyone.

Congress is now in the process of forming a bipartisan "Super Committee" to review the country's budget and to recommend a path forward. To avoid future economic crises, women must be a part of this committee.

But don't take our word for it. Research shows that women are more balanced and thoughtful in making important decisions and are less likely to take unnecessary risks. The correlation between high level female executives and business success is consistent; having at least one female director decreases a company's risk of bankruptcy by up to 20%.

Join our community of nonprofit advocacy organizations, educational institutions, and women leaders dedicated to promoting women's leadership. Sign this petition to convince Speaker John Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to appoint no fewer than 6 women to the "Super Committee."

I had a similar idea. It's radical, and might not meet contstitutional muster....

Instead of having a few senators and representatives join in the "Super Congress" we could have all our elected representatives and senators join in the legislative proceedings.

Whatcha think?

LOL, that's how it was supposed to work........but hard-headed representatives won't budge in their unprecedented efforts to DESTROY our economy..........those tparty folks who were never concerned about deficits until Obama showed up.
