I'm not in the loop. What happened to Kids Kampus?

I honestly didn't even know it existed. Not surprised to hear of the small number of visitors.

Kids Kampus was bulldozed with part of Peyton's money allocated to MetPark improvements(horrible idea) in the same bill that funded the Friendship Fountain Restoration and the Southbank Riverwalk improvements(two GREAT ideas).  The remaining money is now being proposed to build a, wait for it... parking garage downtown(horrible idea). 

Kids Kampus was a monumental failure, due in large part to its isolation and the fact that MetPark is vastly under programmed.  Whenever you support calls for the Shipyards property to be turned into an amusement park... think of the complete failure of Kids Kampus. 

The Catherine Street station has already been moved once, to its present location.  It's mostly used for school field trips.

Once the city decides to take on the Hogans Greenbelt and have a sensible, holistic plan to the Shipyards property... we can finally connect the Stadium District with the core in a meaningful way.
