^Same here, I guess I am officially a RINO now.  In fact, I got a very scathing email from someone today accusing me of that.  Apparently, I am going to be held personally responsible for what happens to this city in the next 4 years.  I'm wondering if taking that responsibility means that I get a share of this person's profits over the next 4 years when Alvin helps us pull out of this recession?

I would be interested to see or hear (it may have already been mentioned in this thread, sorry) as to how many Republicans crossed over to vote for Brown.  I was one of them and I know several more who did as well.  While that isn't a scientific survey, I have heard from others that they know of Reps who did.  What was even more interesting in the conversations was that the folks I spoke to said that they did so after going to the Godbold fundraiser.  I am just curious to know.

I don't want to take anything away from Alvin Brown because I am excited for his victory,  but a lot of votes may have been less of a vote for Brown and more of a vote against Hogan.

Which I don't really know if there is anything wrong with that.  It shows that the city is tired of the do-nothingness that seems to have plagued this city for the past few decades and is ready to move in a *new* direction.

I am still in utter amazement :)  and only one glass of wine tonight. :)

Well done, team Alvin!!!!!!!

I know several Republicans that voted for Alvin Brown. They were tired of Hogan refusing to debate and then denigrating downtown. If we can get a great downtown we will not need to lure new business with city money.

Timkin

Hey...let me give credit where it is due...Hogan did EVERYTHING PERFECTLY ;)

Except the sewing  :D

here's another r that went Brown and I could care less what high school drop-outs on the t-u message board think,  I know more about conservatism and politics as a whole than a million of those idiots put together

grimss

Lifelong R who persuaded her R husband to vote for Brown, too. Hell, I even spent two hours waving a huge Alvin sign outside the Supervisor of Elections office last week . . .

as a lifelong Democrat who crosses over occasionally (and strongly supported Audrey Moran), I'm curious...what do they call us?

holy crap...Channel 4 just aired part of the exclusive interview w/ Hogan...he very politely dissed Brown...said the more he campaigned with him, the less he knew him...saud he had some conflicting ideas and will be cuirous to see how Brown governs.

Kiva

Sorry, that should be DINOS (Democrats who used to ocassIoNally vote rebublican because they lived in JacksOnville and So thought if they did otherwise their vote would not count).

danno

I know several Republicans who crossed over.  I am registered NPA.  No Party Affiliation.
