Status of the "Sinclair"

It has been closed for an extended period recently. Artwalk, and Wednesday night Karaoke for the last two weeks, which was a highlight, which would indicate it is shutting down?

This bar had a discussion some time ago, and it was in the vein of hope for downtown when it first opened. The current situation is what worries me. There are few bars that I enjoy all by myself, but this bar has a lot to offer.

Is there any hope of salvaging this? Stephen or anyone, have you been in touch with the owners? Is there anything we could do?

I don't want to see this bar go "bye bye" and am searching for ways. Is there a way to contact the owner/tenant? Can't strings be pulled? Marketing? Anything.... I would hate to see this go. I'm prepared to work fulltime to keep this happening, as I have the time, if it is not too late   ?

The ONLY problem I ever saw with the Sinclair is that it stands alone in "no mans land".  I am afraid it is a fatal flaw...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

I think it closed for good? Looks very deserted and I think the sign is gone. I only went once but I really like the decor and what not. I don't think they had a full bar (I don't think they sold liquor) and that's definitely a negative. They might have made it if they could have held out until the new courthouse opened, but I think it's curtains for them. Or maybe they'll reopen when the courthouse is done?

As far as I know, it is certainly closed.

Friends of mine ran the burlesque/figure-drawing night "Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art Class" out of the Sinclair and have since moved to the Metro because of the closing.
