Pretty amazing that Winn Dixie is still up there. They seem to barely have a presence in their hometown anymore. Publix domination.

If Winn-Dixie moved  there HQ to Riverside Ave. You would have 4 F500s in a 6-7 block area.  Outside of NYC or maybe Chicago, that is probably unique.

I wonder how much longer Winn-Dixie is going to be around. I have a couple friends who work there who tell me their future isn't too bright.

They are not far away I would consider them still in a core neighborhood.

I think Winn Dixie will survive. If anything they may close more stores and not open any new ones. But I dont see them going away. I have also wanted Winn dixie HQ's to be relocated. I feel that a fortune 500 company should be located Downtown. As many empty structures there are DT, I surprised the city has never did anything to try and intice them to relocate.

They seem to have been reinventing themselves a lot over the years. They just need to focus on the right differentiation from their competition and stand on those. Their mission statement could use a rewrite:

QuoteWinn-Dixie's mission is to earn trust & loyalty every day.

Compare it to this:

QuotePublix strives to be the premier quality food retailer in the world.

speaking of Winn Dixie, has anyone see there new store model? I think it debuted in lousiana, but it really NICE. They are doing a great job of rebranding. They should be fine.

The also just opened up the new model on CR210 in St Johns County. They should have done a store like that in Downtown! I really do not see Winn-Dixie going anywhere. I enjoy shopping there and getting my fuel perks!
