I totally agree Shwaz.  Markets much smaller than Jacksonville support 4-5 microbreweries.  Granted, these are areas like Asheville and Boulder, but Jax can support at least one more brewery.  Bold City and Intuition have taken very different approaches to brewing and building their business.  I think those differences will become more pronounced in the near future.

They're both business' that we can be proud of. They've set the bar pretty high and I hope it only challenges the next round of micros.
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Both breweries deserve our patronage and encouragement.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Intuition is going to be open from 10-2 on Sunday for growler and keg fills.  You have to call ahead for a keg fill.

Gonzo

There is actually a plan in Place for a new micro in Jax Beach. I don't have the info in front of me (I have a delicious I-10 IPA in front of me), but I'll dig up my info and add it later.
Born cold, wet, and crying; Gonzo has never-the-less risen to the pinnacle of the beer-loving world. You can read his dubious insights at www.JaxBeerGuy.com (click the BLOG link).

QuoteYoung Lawyers use Intuition for happy hour

Collegiality was on tap at the Intuition Ale Works brew house Thursday as it hosted the latest happy hour of the Young Lawyers Section of The Jacksonville Bar Association.

Public and private practice attorneys of The JBA were joined by the developing leaders group from NAIOP, an organization of young professionals under the age of 35 involved in commercial real estate development.

“This was the fourth or fifth consecutive event that has been well attended. We had another great turnout Thursday night and everyone there seemed to have an incredible time,” said Christian George, a YLS board of governors member and organizer of the happy hour.

“We hope that our members continue to participate and the YLS board will ensure that future events are just as fun,” said George.

The happy-hour program was developed to provide members with a social environment outside of the courtroom to interact and network with fellow attorneys.

Stockton Attorneys Services sponsored the event. The company provides a wide range of legal services from investigations and process service to e-services. It is operated by Austin Stockton, Billy Catlin and Bryce Hadlow.

The Intuition Ale Works tap room is open 3-11 p.m. Wednesday to Friday and noon-11 p.m. Saturday.

Was @ Amelia Island Plantation over the weekend & it was cool to see the constant stream of People's Pale Ale flowing from the tap at the pool/cabana bar - A strong contingent of Atlantans had taken a liking (+ myself).  Nice having an opportunity to display a little civic pride - keep up the good work!

Was there friday for the tapping of the "White Russian Ale"......

I'm pretty sure with a cask, you load all the flavor towards the end, but to enjoy the coffee/kahlua flavor in a blonde ale - impressive.  I'm a big fan of beer experiments gone right!
