This probably deserves its own post.  I didn't know about it until just minutes ago, and not from the campaign.

Ace reporter Abel Harding is bird-dogging every story that matters in Jacksonville.

Including this nugget in Alvin Brown's latest campaign contribution filing report.

Thank you, Mr. Mayor.  Alvin Brown joins the Austin political dynasty as Mayor Austin's last legacy to the city he loved.  And Brown was classy enough not to make a big deal about it on the 22nd, or at any point in the last week.  That's something else.

Rest in peace, Mr. Mayor.  Thank you for everything you've done for this city, both then and now.

Cool. There's a rally for Alvin Brown this Sunday at 5 at Memorial Park. And you can ride your bike from Boone Park to Memorial Park for the rally. Bikes leave at 4:15. Join the procession and please spread the word!
