Hogan's absence speaks volumes.  With that many organizations involved, there should be a decent crowd there, particularly considering how actice those neighborhoods are.  Why would this not be worth his time?

Is there a conflict with a Tea Party event?

It only matters if th Voters know...This seems like a lil league meeting people in the city do not know about. So its up to all those people that attend to put the word out that Hogan can careless about the issues, which in my opinion is really arrogant. But if voters don't know about these things it will not matter.

Again it really upsets me that Hogan is not attending.  He is avoiding answering to the tax paper.  As mayor is he going to treat the tax payer's concerns the same way... run away and hide?  Whatever his stance I hope he steps up and becomes a man.  If you cannot handle this kind of forum and these kinds of questions, then being a politician is not for you Mike Hogan! 

Why get upset? Will the TU be there? will ABC, CBS & NBC have their local affiliates there? Will Folio be there? If not, its like it really does not count. For Hogan to just pick and choose without having the job is really interesting. Says a lot about the City of Jax & also makes this seem like some lil get along gang meeting.

In order for voters to know it has to be WELL documented. MetroJax coverage is not enough, especially with what MetroJax.com represents, which is progress and the betterment of Jax.

When a politician believes that he or she has the job in the bag, why should he or she have to actually interact with the voters?  It sounds like one candidate is expecting a cakewalk to his coronation as our city's next mayor.  Talk about an unhealthy sense of entitlement!

Nothing new, Jaxson.. HE MAY HAVE IT SEWED up.. It would look rather suspicious if he won ,anyway.. but hey the GOB network is capable of some pretty underhanded things..  Good thing we need not worry about hanging chads in this runoff

A funeral for former Mayor Ed Austin will be Thursday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Wednesday night at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church 1100 Stockton St.
