This is great news for Alvin and a leveling of the playing field. My hats off to rummell. He has the courage to do the right thing!

It's great news for Jacksonville, for sure.  Nice to see so much of Audrey's support flowing to Alvin Brown.  Including you and your family in that, too, Matt.

Please call Audrey this weekend for us. Tell her that we love her.  Ask her to say something Alvin's way.  It can be in the context of her awesome bipartisan/nonpartisan remarks from the night of her concession.  But it's time for all the talent to get off the bench.

He could give the 300k out of his own pocket. Make sure someone asks him why his former company, that he helped build moved their HQ out of Jacksonville after 75 years of partnership with Jacksonville. WOW, they must be part of that 17% decrease in tax revenue to 3% that Brown was discussing today.

Ironic how a man who was part of a company that contributed to the downfall of downtown supports the man to wants to rebuild downtown.  ::)
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

"This is a game-changer. This is what I mean when I say taking Jacksonville to the next level."
-Mayor Alvin Brown on new video boards at Everbank Field

Strange that Rummell was out of that job way before the HQ was moved.  But nice try.

I wonder how much momentum this will provide? Very exciting.

300k is very exciting when it's time to make TV buys.  His name provides momentum.  And it really puts the pressure on Ms. Moran.  (Who I love...)

Jimmy

Alvin Brown had his best two weeks of fundraising ever.  Over $60k reported from 3/26 - 4/8.  Huge for momentum.  Maybe it pushed Rummell over the top?

Hogan campaign reports donations of $117,474.91 of that $49.53 in kind. Brown campaign reports donations of $60,594.00 of that a whopping $57,310.85 in kind. Review of reports show most of inkind donation in the Brown camp from the Democrat party.

Rummel and his wife are also supporting Kimberly Daniels for seat 1.  Total donation $1,000.00.

Timkin

Guess its Rummel's Choice.. Daniels wouldn't get my vote

I haven't looked at the reports but find that hard to believe...I personally know that Alvin raised over $4,000 (not in-kind) on the last day of the reporting period alone.

You are correct.  Alvin's total haul for the two weeks was 117,904.  Over 60K of that was cold, hard cash.

I am very proud of what the DEMOCRATIC Party is accomplishing with Alvin Brown. ; )
