While I totally commend your efforts... Is this going to accomplish a recall?

Timkin, it's all about empowerment of the people.

We are simply building momentum for as Jimmy says:

QuoteWe can recall a Mayor, we the people should be able to recall a Governor.

It needs to be on the next ballot in 2012 as a Constitutional Amendment.

Obviously there is no way that Rick Scott is going to sign a new law into existence that would allow his own recall. As I've said before............it's so easy to hold the single moms accountable, but oh no..............our leaders want to do whatever they want without any repercussions.

Hey, who knows, maybe Scott is rethinking his own craziness now, as he already recalled the "emergency" measure of cutting funding to those who take care of our disabled.

Rolling over and playing dead is the worst thing we can do as citizens: we MUST hold our leaders accountable every which way we can.

Even if it is just to move the Overton window.

Floridians have been so programmed that that we have no rights............that there is nothing we can do about the GOBs and all the other power brokers, that many don't even bother to vote.

Well, we do have rights, but we DO have to claim them.

And one of the first steps needed is to empower the people to do so.

It is a shame our struggles at times seem so insurmountable, as to get people thoroughly discouraged.

Lets break that vicious cycle TOGETHER!!!!!

Open people's minds to the fact that we CAN do something about our corrupt situation.

Well, I don't think the petition is circulating anymore but at almost 26,000 signatures in just a few days, there is definitely a huge appetite to hold elected state officials accountable through the option of recall.

When will we be joining the 18 other states who have that option available to their citizens?

And why do Floridians keep electing these fools?

How many Floridians voted in the last election?
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."
