Can JIA handle one of these A380 JETS? those things seem pretty massive. Im sure the Jax runways are not big enough & no american air liner has one in their fleet yet, just on order. Does anyone think one will ever land in Jax?

Runways probably aren't long enough for safe commercial operation, Airbus claims that it has similar performance to a 747, which most variants require over 10,000 foot runway (longest at JAX is 10k).  Even if the runways were long enough there are a lot of other factors that come in to play,  Runways loading, width, taxiways, gate requirements, etc.

747SPs can do it. I saw a gigantic Antonov here awhile back, so it's possible to get things that size in here. Actually the 47 generally is pretty amazing on short takeoffs, albeit with reduced loading. I don't know much about the A380 aside from it being a real ugly looking airplane. I watched one of the first 380 flights into the US coming in on final near Dulles, it doesn't have the grace or presence of the 47, the airbus looks like a flying economy-sized aerosol can. New 747-8 FTW!
