Metro Jacksonville has been awarded the 2008 Excellence in Media Award from the First Coast Section of the American Planning Association.  This award is based on Metro Jacksonville's coverage of planning and growth management issues in the First Coast Region.

The insightful and unique solutions to the urban issues presented here are a great asset to the Jacksonville urban area. Hopefully, sometime soon these solutions will be implemented to the betterment of the City.

This site does a better job covering these issues than the newspaper and all of the local TV combined.
