Cheap Electricity?

I want cheap electricity.  Something less than $0.05 kWh.  Even lower at $0.01 kWh would be great!  Any promising tech out there that will get us there?

I'm probably too pessimistic this morning, but my thought is that we aren't getting cheap energy any time soon.  More likely to happen is that we will find ways to use less of it and thereby reduce how much we spend on energy.  The net result would be the same.

Interestingly, then we might find that by reducing demand, the supply will increase and the price will come down.  Admittedly, that is very simplistic and probably won't happen either.

And if you are in really really good shape, you will be able to power your computer for about 30 minutes...

Without the abuses of corporations that clog our legislational system we'd have plenty of cheap electricity in my lifetime...but i don't see it happening..the money and time and energy spent by the oil and gas and coal industries is waisted and should be a sin...it's crazy the amounts spent to beg for national monies...put that amount into research for alternative energy sources and research and we'd be there...the whole system is just crazy..

Sadly whats more likely to happen is the electric company will say "usage is down...we need to do a rate increase"!
