Good times on Saturday -- did I pass any of you on the river?  ;D

billy

What boat were you on?

sheclown

I was on a blue SR25. And you?

Sadly,In Atlanta, not on the St.Johns, my Dad was an early member of the Rudder Club.

It's not too early to plan on racing next summer.

It was a blast, sailing up Friday, hanging out in Palatka, and then sailing back to the Rudder Club, 38 miles on Saturday.  I heard there were around 160 boats.  Sails filled the river.

Sounds like fun! any pics you want to post sheclown?

sheclown

wow.  I have a few pics, but I'm not really sure how to make them appear in this space.  If you could give me a hint or two, I could do that.  Maybe.   ???

Thank you Stephendare for putting the pics up.

Nice shots.  Its neat to see so many sail boats up and down the river every year.

Isn't this race the longest freshwater sail boat race in the world?

That's what it says on the Tee Shirts.  We claim it is.  Others dispute it...

And it is great to see the river used as it should be.  One of the best ways to save the river, is to use the river.
