Although his little joke 'bombed,' Mike Hogan could still win this election because there are many elements in this city who will be laughing with him - all the way to the mayor's office - if enough folks give him a mulligan on this one.

Well personally I think that Mike Hogan has no 'thought out' plan. Even if I disagree with a thought plan- the time and effort of care has been put into trying to make this city a better place at least wins my respect. When someone tells me that they are not really going to do much because they prefer simplicity, then this person is nobody that should be in charge of anything. The reason I would never run for mayor is because I am not qualified for such a job, so I put my faith into people who are qualified (or at least try) to be qualified for such a job. Personally I feel that Mike's comment about Westsiders being simple is offensive.

If you think of this as a job interview, imagine a candidate that walks in and proclaims that he will do the absolute minimum to comply with the law (balanced budget), refuse to be "politically correct", and then jokes about bombing an abortion clinic.

Which company in town would hire that person?
