Don't give em any ideas, Baltivac... While we at it, tear down the JEA Building and the Haydon Burns Library.. They are only mid-century ...More Parking is needed.

And with that new Courthouse..sheesh there should be enough space for City Hall so lets demo the St.James Building while we are at it.  Idiots.

Who greenlights these things?  I imagine a majority of past city councils had to have been complicit?  Yet apparently these people continuously get re-elected?  Does anyone know any of the mayoral candidates' positions on saving historical buildings?  Another parking garage downtown is as useful as 12 lane highway between Middleburg and Green Cove Springs.  What in the hell are these people thinking?

Why is the Florida Theater still standing? Couldn't they use that space to hold 30 or 40 cars during Jags games?

I wouldn't lump the Jags into this (not that you are doing so - I'm just reactionary due to the certain element that seems to think the Jags are the cause of all the city's problems), seeing as Wayne and Delores Weaver have been great friends to the Historical Society.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

I get the strong impression, particularly from Mr. Carlucci's posts on here, that Audrey's with us.

Good.  That would be one example of why I'm with Audrey.   ;D

+1  I HOPE Audrey is with us in this regard.  She seems to be the closest .  We cannot afford to let these historic structures be demolished or worse yet, left to wither away to the point that they are beyond saving ( see  School # 4 )

I know we have a multitude of issues facing us as a city.  But our Historic Landmarks have suffered neglect for far too long and it is past time to remedy this.

Let's just take it all out and make this a National Historic Park.
