How asinine. What is this city's obsession with making sure everything looks like one giant homogenous trailer park with an out-of-control community association? Ridiculous. Look at successful cities, they have diverse streets with no shortage of street-level signage.

Thanks, Planning Commission! God knows we need to be protected from electronic billboard signage changing too frequently.

"Whut the heyull is zat???"

"Man, looks like sumkinda death ray! Turn down the Skynyrd so I can try tuh read it!"

"...Did you just ask me to turn down Lynyrd Skynyrd??"

Hopefully they will extend their recommendation to remove any and all signage from all buildings in Jacksonville. You will have to hop out of the car, go inside, and ask somebody what their business does. "Is this The Loop?" "No, this is a urine testing facility. The Loop is two doors down."

Sign ordinance is a joke, should all be repealled. The first passage was 25 years ago when we HAD a downtown, time for CITY to get with the times....
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

"This is a game-changer. This is what I mean when I say taking Jacksonville to the next level."
