I didn't have a dog in that hunt. But it will be nice to see the gator fans in my Monday Night group be a little humble this evening.

Gators suck and Jags have no black outs. What purpose does that serve? The Noles won leave it at that. Why drag the Jags in to this?

I think it was to acknowledge the fact that alot of Gator fans seem to think they can only go to one game a weekend. And since most them have a superiorty complex, they will go to see which ever team will have a better chance of winning.

On that note....as a Nole fan, the game was awesome! Complete Domination!! We FSU fans deserved this after 6 years! And then for Maryland to pull it out for us was the cherry on top!

Then those are not true fans, because what goes up will eventually come down. Gators fans are real dumb if they thought a bad season was not on the way sooner or later. You cant win em all!!!!

With all the excitement & chest-thumping in this thread let's see if they can actually sell out all their home games next season.  I wouldn't hold my breath.

that will be somewhat up to Athletic Department/Boosters and whether they raise ticket prices for the 5th time in 6 years!

A freaking men!!!!
My seat location finally got upgraded two years ago... but then last year I had to up my contribution level just to stay in the same darn seats, and the seats were more expensive!!  So I had to lose my better seats just to afford keeping the tickets.  This year they upped the price for parking in the intramural fields so Im parking at the lot next to the FSU police department(which actually isnt all that bad of a lot, its just a further walk to the stadium and there are WAY less people to socialize with).
But, we've had to cut back the number of our seats and backed down our booster contribution.  It really got expensive very quickly.

I have better seats at Jags games for basically the same price per game... and that doesnt include the money you have to give to the Seminole Boosters.  So in reality, Im paying the same amount for FSU season tickets than I do for Jags tickets.... and there are less home games with FSU(and I have to drive 2 1/2 hours to get there).

OK I guess the trash talking is on. You know what will be interesting is to see if Meyer can maintain that level of excellence that is losing  one out of every three games without Tebow in Gainesville. 16-8 without Tim making up for that crap offense.

Because its the truth. When the Gators dont win, the Jags have more support. Thats the way of life in Jax. I wish the Gators ten bad seasons in a row. The Jags selling out is more important than Gator attendance to me. Its nothing personal ONLY business. Im looking at it from a business point of view. Gators are the Jacksonville Jaguars competition for sports dollars & I happen to cheer for the Teal & Black in the situation. Its not about wins & loses, more about sales, attendance & national image. Gainsville is not important to me, Jax is.

Well Keith...there you have it. NOT TRUE FANS....you said it not me lol..Gators have had bad seasons, but not many since Jags existed. Good for Noles fans man, because Noles fans that live in Jax actually support the Jags after supporting the Noles & if you ask me Jacksonville as a city/metro needs more semiNole fans & semiNole alumni apart of the community, I feel the same way about Famu...get those Tallahassee kids in Jax instead of Orlando, they have much to offer. Both schools. Hopefully you see where Im coming from, its really not about Gatorhate but more about letting FSU kids know Jacksonville needs more of them.

LOL
Last year at the FSU/UF game in Gainesville, some obnoxious drunk Gator(who was trying to pick fights with anyone wearing Noles attire) and I were having a 'civil conversation'.  I politely reminded him at one point after the game 'enjoy it, b/c what goes up will come down now that Tebow is gone... it wasn't too long ago that Zook was roaming the sidelines in mediocracy round these parts'  to which he replied 'we ain't never gonna get that way again, we're always going to be on top'.

What goes around, comes around  ;)

No freakin way! So when the Jags do well, the Gators suffer? Did the Gators suffer attendance failures when the Jags had Brunnell and were making it to the playoffs under Coughlin?

Had the Jags had Gene Smith before Harris, who brought in idiots to sit for millions, we would be 3-4 years further along and leading the AFC South by more than our lead now. We are a different team on our own, not because the Gators are doing poorly.

When I was at the opening day Denver/Jax game, during the lightning delay, a Tebronco Gator fan said "We already took care of business" referring to Gators win over who beat that Saturday. The Jags were winning at the time anyway. I've heard many "so called" Jag/Gators over the radio say that the Jag games weren't exciting, and the Gators suit their fancy. Whoever don't think that it's some "underground" friction between the Jags & Gators is naive. Cooly said it perfectly above, they are in comp for the almighty dollar. What does UF do for Jax, besides doctors at Shands, and the UF/UGA game? Tell me if I'm wrong. To me, it's always what's Jax is doing for UF (local Gator booster clubs etc.). There's no denying what's the Jags organization does for this city. I think what we're seeing is alot of people rebelling against the Gators media stranglehold on this city. Hey, how bout some "Go Dawgs" on the JTA bus destination signs along with "Go Gators"; Afterall all the FL/GA game is supposed to be a "neutral site". BTW, I think they did Zook wrong; Zook lost to Ole Miss; This year "the ultimate jerk" Meyer lost to Miss St, and USC; Does that means he gets fired? Never mind, don't answer that.

I generally agree with the assertion that college football games are more fun than the NFL....and my money/time only goes so far....I choose to be an FSU season ticket holder, which means that I only attend a few Jags games a year.

The Gator fans that actually go to Gainesville for games on a regular basis are diehard....I highly doubt that a win or loss by their college team affects their decision on whether to buy Jags tickets.

fsujax

Well, the last few homegames for the Jaguars have been anything but boring. There were actually really fun. It is all what you make of it.
