I live in an apartment building and am craving a fried turkey.  Anyone know of a place in Jax that will fry your turkey for you for a fee.  Or even better somewhere that sells a fried turkey meal.  I live in Riverside, however anywhere in Jax is fine.

:D That is a serious fried turkey jones you've got going on.
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Just set your rig up in the parking lot or somewhere outside...

Fried Turkey skin....mmmmmmmmmmmmmm :D
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

"Friedturkey" I'm not teasing you,but check back on this thread...Riverside calls were made. ;)

Remember that the Fryer requires several gallons of Peanut oil for the fry.

Maybe friedturkey has become a victim of one of the infamous turkey frying disasters warned about by Dennis Haysbert in the All State commercial. I hope he was in good hands.

Sadly, I was unsuccessful.  I don't have a fryer and couldn't find a place that would fry my turkey.  I can confirm that Copeland’s will sell you a fried turkey, however it is 50$ for a 10lb turkey.  I took the cheap route and threw my 59 cent/lb cajun butter injected turkey in the oven.  Maybe next year....

Now for my next question..  Does anyone know of a great mom and pop meat market in Jax.  One that sells homemade sausage, beef jerky, deer jerky...?  Pine Grove market in Riverside is great for a steak, but I'm cravin some jerky.

Hey Friedturkey - the $50 price from Copeland's isn't so bad, considering my 13 lb turkey was around $14 and the oil was another $30. Factor in gas, time, labor, and the salt and brown sugar I marinated it in, and I might just stop by Copeland's myself next year...

(But it was absolutely delicious!)
