Two Teams that will be running very similar offenses.  Which Headline do you Expect on Tuesday?

First NFL Game Ever without a Passing Attempt
Two QBs - Two-Hundred Yds Rushing
MJD & CJ - How 1 + 1 = 600 yds Rushing
JDR & Jeff Fisher decide Outcome of Last Nights Game with a Fistfight on the 50 Yard Line
Cortland Finnegan Quits NFL for MMA
Maybe Marcedes Should Join MMA after Knocking Finnegan Out of the Game after Interception
A River (city) Runs Through It
Jags Win, Jags Win: 2-0
Jaguars = #1 in AFC South

While the loss was a bummer, it was the national press coverage of the game I found to be downright abysmal.

Even ESPN, the network of MNF wasn't even carrying a byline on their homepage. You had to go to the NFL link to get to see a promo for the game.

From my survey of national press, only two publications even noted the game prominently in their sports sections, The Tennessean and the Times-Union. Many papers only carried a wire story with one photo of Chris Johnson being tackled.

I haven't seen the overnights on the TV ratings yet, but I would surmise that they were not that good overall. While I know natives are worried about how Jax is displayed on national TV, to be honest, I think the game got the typical attention 2 small market teams with no "long term rivalries" would have.

It was clear to me that ESPN put in a marginal, if not contractually obligated effort on the game. When their homepage is more obsessed over Oklahoma being #1, then promoting a game on their own network, then you know that someone is getting short shrift.

Perhaps next time Del Rio and Fisher should have a war of words to make them pay attention. I guess "normal" football is just too boring these days.

I know it rated higher than the ALCS Yankees v Rangers...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

I saw the ratings were 9.6 million, compared to last weeks 17.3 million. So we didn't do to well. So at least 8 million people didn't have to watch our butts getting whooped

Those 8 million were the fantasy degenerates that picked after the first round and didn't have either MJD or CJ2K on their teams.  What other reason to watch the game if you live west of the MS River.
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Well I ended up at a card party last night with a dude from Tennessee.. We talked a little trash about Mondays game but he only had good things to say about Jaguar fans. He said that our fans are VERY dedicated to the team. That is the image we want. In light of todays game, win or lose, we gotta have their back. Regardless.

Only the Jags would pull a guy off his tractor on Tuesday only to have him start at QB today. There are 10 better QB's like Culpepper and Garcia in the UFL they could have brought in. Not the cheapest guy who could get here Wedneday.

:D  Good thing your not the Jags GM... Bouman looks pretty damn good so far.  Dont forget he has been with the team on and off for quite awhile.

Yeah I agree Im extremely impressed with bouman. garrard needed to be out a game to think about the embarassment him and the offense caused us Monday. lol

Talk to me at the end of the game. My best friend runs the Detroit Redwings and I think he said it all. No one takes a Ville seriously. If there wasnt a beach connected to my address this could be IRAQ

It amazes me how citizens of Jacksonville are so negative about the city. If its so horriable MOVE. And as far as the team, we have some major offesnse issues that were ignored in the off season, and now Del Rio is paying for it. And to make matters worse, we had sign a quarter that hadnt played since God knows when just to get by today. I will say he did his best though, and atleast he put some points on the bored, unlike Garrard did Monday. I still love my team. Every team in the franchise how been up and down, we are no exception. I have noticed people in Jacksonville hate the city more than people on the outside. With an attitude like that, were NEVER going to get anywhere.

FYI-we are not the worse team in the NFL presently so be thankful for that. There's a team today that will be 0-7. Im sure they have much more to worry about than we do.
