We need a downtown Dunkin' Donuts!

I am desperate for some Munchkins right now. There's one over on Atlantic, but I want one that's walkable.

Are there any freestanding Krispy Kreme stores in the Jacksonville area?

There used to be one on Cassat at College St but I'm pretty sure it is closed.  However, there is a Dunkin Donuts on Cassat just south of Lenox, almost directly across the street from where Krispy Kreme was.

That krispy kreme  has been closed for years, I believe the building is still standing but surrounded by a chain link fence

 There is only one I know of... On Atlantic , East of Girvin.. It closed for a while and then reopened.. There was one location built about the same time in Orange Park , but it closed and is now...of all things  A Whataburger !

 The KK on Cassatt , I believe was the origional one.. No idea how long it has been there but at least through my lifetime.  If it has a fence around it , its probably awaiting demolition (hope not) but sure would be cool to see that one open again.

My class went there during a field trip in like 84 85..they let us see how they made the Donuts. I think to it closed in 2006

When I was in Philly recently, the DDs are a big hit downtown and fit in nicely. (from google street view)

Philadelphia and Chicago have a lot of foot traffic in their respective downtowns.  I am guessing that this foot traffic helps to support establishments like Dunkin Donuts.

I agree Jaxson but Union with a drive thru would support downtown and have the cross traffic needed to supplement the downtown crowd.

That would be the perfect opportunity for a DD franchise.... either with an in-store kiosk or co-branded drive thru window where the gas station's cafe would be.
