How does one spell Vendetta?? Man those guys really want Jax out of the league....Jags sell tickets & now this new SI article comes....
Mike Hogan Destruction Eruption!

Ocklawaha

What article?

These bastards make my blood boil.

I have refused to buy that rag since they featured an article something like "National Soccer League Has A Sense of Humor and Puts A Team In Jacksonville".  A classless attempt to slander our great city, in one headline they used their poison pen to spew bile and and regurgitate the failings of New England spinning the story so it would appear we had somehow caused it. So those poor f**King Yankee's lost their soccer team and any place with a future brighter then New England (which is about everybody else in the country) was singled out for a vendetta.
Wouldn't it be cool if we could get a CITY WIDE boycott of this piece of shit?

Welll why has not the COJ sicked the Legal Department on them? This is a case of Libel as I understand the legl definition! I don't buy that rag anyway............besides I think the FOX Network owns them!

Well you knew Fox News had to be involved somehow!!

Keith-N-Jax

What article? If the city of Jax and the Jags took care of bussiness there would be nothing to talk about. Jax is a easy mark IMO.

Lunican

Sports Illustrated is Time Warner, not Newscorp.

fsujax

what new article?? can someone post the link?

Wacca Pilatka

It's been posted on the jaguars.com boards a few times.

The SI football preview said that the Jaguars moved a step closer to moving to LA this offseason because the four losses at the end of 2009 depressed fan interest and prevented a spike in ticket sales, and then threw in the standard Tebow reference.

Keith, you obviously have a point, but what the SI article said was an outright fabrication.  And a lot of the articles on Jacksonville and ticket sales--however deserving the attention to the subject may be--contain similar fabrications.  THAT, and not the fact that Jacksonville gets attention as a target, is the real objection.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!
