Inability to merge onto the highway.

Look, the vehicles on that high speed motorway you're getting onto are going 60 - 70 MPH.  As soon as you hit that ramp, stomp on the accelerator, so that by the time you run out of lane and have to merge in, you're going the same speed as everybody else.  It's almost like you're all sitting still, since you're going more or less the same speed.  A little more gas if you need to move ahead, a little brake if you need to slide in behind somebody.

Nah, that's too easy.  Roll up the ramp at 25, craning your neck over your left shoulder all the way.  Yeah, that's it.  Okay, now that you're near the end of the ramp, hit the brakes and come to a COMPLETE STOP!  Wait a while.  Let a line pile up behind you.  Now just blindly pull on to the highway at about 10 MPH and make everybody in the right lane swerve around you.

Along with all of the above listed, another annoyance are people that have "boomboxes' in their cars that cause such a vibration , you can feel them in your car with all the windows up and the A/C going..  This should be illegal.

"California Stopping " is a nuisance..  Also people who stop at or beyond a pedestrian crosswalk, and those who are leaving parking spots and stop with their bumper about 1/32" from oncoming traffic.

Driving while YANKEE ought to be illegal...

I wish it was that easy.  I have merged onto highways at full speed and have encountered douchebags who will actually speed up to keep from letting me merge safely.

A huge pet peeve of mine is with traffic reporters.  I wish that I could be paid a dollar for everytime they use same cliches, like 'onlooker delay.'
Onlooker delay?  Would traffic reporters rather have people zip through an accident scene, running over law enforcement and other first responders?  The move over law requires people to either move over or slow down when passing by such a scene.
Traffic reporters think that they are being witty when they continue to cynically treat all drivers as macabre little bastards...
Just sayin'!

^^^All they (traffic reporters) are doing is getting down to the source of the slowdown. If I-95 is backed up for many miles, I would be glad to get that info. I don't think that they are suggesting you to speed through an accident scene. IMO some rubberneckers slow down dramatically unnecessarily; For instance, you're in an undisturbed southbound side of the hwy, and a minor accident is in the northbound side.

QuoteAfter a bit of tailgating and angry staring into your rearview mirror, you will harden your stance and either slow down or brake-check me, which isn't a big deal to me, I can see the frustration in your face.  Now it's a game to me.  You are being stubborn and I'm being contemptuous.  When we finally get home we'll tell our significant other about the jack-ass behind/in-front of me.  And tomorrow, we'll do the same again.

LOL!  Except I would never brake-check or slow down!  Seriously bad karma!  And would make sure to use my turn signal for my upcoming left turn.  What I might do is wash my windshield which would spray water back on to your windshield.   ;D

Red light cameras are actually speeding control devices.  People blow through red lights because they are going much above the speed limit.  Timing on the yellow lights is set for the speed limit.

Drive friendly; it's dangerous out there!

I hate that, too, usually because my windows are down and the spray gets me right in the face. ;)

Hey now, when you've got a compact car and 2 huge SUV's park on either side of you, you can't see what you're about to hit or miss. So I really don't know if someone's waiting for me to back out or not unless I have a passenger to jump out and play traffic cop.  :P

But the MOST annoying thing happens when you pull over to let fire/rescue go by. The drivers who were behind you are in Such a hurry that they don't let you back in the lane or just keep you off the road altogether.
If you are among this group, and you know who you are, come ON. That's just one of the lowest things you can do behind the wheel.

By not going over the speed limit I know I upset many other drivers.

People are annoyed by your slothing along in the left lane and your passive-aggressive refusal to let others pass.
