Wow - finally!!!!!

For a small market team, this is a HUGE win for them!

Doesn't the city get a small cut from the naming rights as well?

This is just such a win-win for everyone involved!

Sorry to rain on the parade (even if temporarily)...but...

I was at a Team teal event tonight at the stadium....the Jags spokesperson said he "could not confirm or deny" talks w/ Everbank but said that no deal had been signed yet.

That's the same thing Vic says... Jags.com won't report a player is 'signed' until the pen hits the paper.  But ESPN, NFL Network, and every other major outlet will report of the signing.

Sounds like they won't report it, until Everbank 'signs' the deal tomorrow.

Jacksonville.com is reporting that both sides will be hosting a press conference tomorrow. This looks like a done deal.

Just talked to a friend of mine at EverBank - it's legit.

I have a really good contact inside Everbank as well and he confirmed it.

I heard 25% for the city... 75% Team
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Good for both sides.

I have been reading the comments on all the local media sites. This story has generated a lot of great comments. Glad to know so many are speaking up positively about the Jaguars! It almost feels like 1993 again!!! haha

Smart move by everbank. Now everyone will be buzzing about them. If it is true about the 5 million per year rumor, then it is good for both sides.  There is a ton of promotions they can run. This game is "money in the bank". Come down to  "The Vault" and see the Jags play.

I love the name. It makes alot of sense for a local company to have the stadium's naming rights. I had made a post (that I can't find) a while back saying along the lines of "Everbank needs to step up" referring to Jaguars advertising in the stadium; They've took it to another level by having the entire stadium naming rights. Everbank also has a sign in the Baseball Grounds outfield.
