Stadium Naming Rights deal soon?

There is a rumor floating around town about a possible naming rights deal coming soon for Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. The company being floated is EverBank. I take it with a grain of salt since we heard the same thing three year ago with Vistakon/Acuvue.

Anybody else heard this?

I hope its true. Anything to help my jags is good with me. Everbank is a company that is constantly growing so I could see them jumping on the opportunity to have their name out there.

The pessimist in me thinks it could be a smaller deal similar to their deal at the arena where they are strictly the sponsor of the club section.

The die hard fan in me hope it is a full fledged stadium naming deal. It would be huge for the team and it's long term viability.

Is Everbank large enough to be able to afford naming rights?  They are a Private company, so I don't know specifics on their financials.

Yes that is true. LOL I guess the media hell hacking us all last year worked out for our good. The fans and the city has been stepping up to the plate.

Everbank is flush with cash and is aggressively trying to gain market share in the vaccum created in the mortgage industry over the last 2 years.
If this is true, it makes sense.

That's huge - certainly has the perception of a long term commitment/investment (from both parties).
