I'll be watching the game in sunny southwestern England, in an ever-growing sea of red & white flags, surrounded by drunken, football-lovin' Brits.  Should be lots of fun...or dangerous.

And you will be lucky if it stays sunny!  LOL!  Sounds like fun.  Just don't cheer to loud if the US scores.
When all else fails hug the dog.

Yeah, the clouds like to roll around at about 1:00, but today they seemed to have stayed away for the Queen's birthday.  Happy B-Day, Queen, here's a beatdown-American style  :)

I'm pretty subdued even during Jags games, so I should be ok.

Cheer loudly. The England fans will lovingly take the piss out of you, but you'll most likely survive. :)

Just got back from watching the game at 5 Points Theater.  Big, enthusiastic, knowledgeable crowd.  Great game.  Brits were better ball movers, but US defense, esp. goalie was like a rock.

Good time!

Pulled from the comments section of the page. I found it kinda funny.

Go USA Go!  We'll take it.  It wasn't pretty, but a team has to have some luck to get through this tournament.

I went to Lillian's and they had a great crowd Westside and Oakleaf soccer associations plus 20 or so Brits.  The place was absolutely packed with soccer jerseys, horns and face painters.

I was discovered after the guy standing next to me overheard me talking, quickly realizing that I was with "the other guys" because of my accent.  Then I was outed by one of the girls I went with once the Star-Spangled Banner started.  It was really cool to watch the game in a place where the World Cup is such a big deal, knowing the entire country's behind one thing 100%.  And yes, once they knew I was American, they were more than friendly. It's been like that the entire time I've been here, everywhere I've gone.  Awesome experience.

Brits in South Africa, at a World Cup event, England vs USA, drinking Budwieser?

danno

That sucks.  Bud is the official beer of the World Cup.  Last time around when we were in Germany that was all you could get inside the stadiums.  The German oganizing group was upset but Budwieser put up the cash.

I've had to watch the games on mute. Seriously.

I'd buy a half dozen if you can find them.

Captain Zissou

They have them at Sharks games, black and red.  They're awesome.
