These are (IMO) the most overrated things that MJer's say that Jax needs. I'm just gonna come outta the box and say it.

1. Streetcar/Trolley

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that a Jax trolley wouldn't be functional, and benefical for the city, but will Jax wither away like the Wicked Witch of the West because we don't have a trolley? No. The bias hatred for buses is obvious on this site. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it; There's no changing my mind concerning that.

2. Aquarium

Jax sits between (esp.the Orlando theme parks, and the Georgia Aquarium) some of the most prominent aquariums in the Southeast, so what the hell is Jax gonna do to make our aquarium unique enough to bring visitors on a consistent basis? To be honest, if an aquarium opened in Jax, I probably would go only one time. Wow, a bunch of fish floating around! Switch an aquarium with a well done theme/amusement park, and now you're talking about bringing in the visitors!

3. Macy's

Enough said.

4.IKEA

Go to Scandesign; It looks like the same stuff.

5. Bass Pro Shops

If Gander Mtn. in the RCMP don't have enough for you concerning outdoorsy gear, then I don't know what else to say; The typical "falling for the name" syndrome.

Over rated to me on here is legit excuseS for lack of Jag support....very overrated. Publix Super Market....from a guys perspective....some of the men on here talk about grocery shopping like they are women lol. Service this service that...Just get what u want, pay for it and be on your way...stop crying about how Publix SERVES you. Because they have an aquarium in Atlanta, we shouldn't want one in Jacksonville? I don't understand. If all you think an aquarium consists of is "a bunch of fish floating around" then I  understand why you don't see the need for one. I have visited cities like Baltimore, Atlanta, Tampa, Gatlinburg and you what I did when I was there? Watched a bunch of fish float around.

Scandesign opened it's first store in Winter Park, FL, but SD is currently is based in Longwood, FL(Orlando area). The Jax SD store (Philips Hwy) is one of seven stores across Florida. I too first thought that SD was based in Jax, until I looked it up.

I TOTALLY agree with you about Publix's reputation for being the ONLY supermarket that has well trained staff that's there to serve you. Maybe there's some secret underground massage parlors in all of the Publix's that I don't know about. LOL.

I disagree with you with Springfield (a very important and historic neighborhood in Jax) but that's what having an opinion is all about.
