Another example of the media blowing something out of proportion.  My condolences to those affected but the rate needs to be looked at closer.

Foxconn's Shenzhen plant employs almost 400,000.  This means a suicide rate of 2.5 per 100,000.  China's average is 14 per 100,000.

It gets attention because people aren't grasping the scope of that facility.  Half of Duval county could be employed by that one company's location.  With a suicide rate far lower than the national average.

I'm not saying the working conditions and pay do not need to be looked into or that worker morale shouldn't be focused on but for every Foxconn employee that commits suicide, 6 others elsewhere did the same.

Interesting how statistics work, so oddly Jim, by your numbers, individuals who work at this company are statistically less likely to commit suicide.
