if you have a problem parking during lunchtime, you should try City Hall Pub....there's free parking in the garage right next door all day.

Or, take the scenic route and catch the free Bay Street Trolley. It runs every 15 minutes, and stops right near our door.

We serve lunch everyday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Happy Hour is Mon-Fri from 3 pm to 7 pm.

Open Mic night is EVERY Monday at 9.

Be sure to check jaxevents.com to make sure there isn't an event at the arena or baseball stadium ....we can't override the city, so those are the only days we can't grant you free parking....

Hi Guys & Gals-

I'm not sure if you've heard, but at City Hall Pub, all City, State & Federal Employees get a 25% lunch discount everyday, all the time. That includes postal workers, paramedics, firefighters, police, courthouse staff, and even juror members!

For more details, ask Carla Jones, who will be tabling with Metro Jacksonville Pub crawl this Wednesday for ArtWalk! I'll be the one in the City Hall Pub t-shirt : )

Make sure you let the jury duty "baby sitters" (I don't know what their official title is but they're the people that tend the unused jurors between trials) know about the discount. I know I really enjoyed the cheap "juror's lunch" at Plaza III when it was open, maybe you folks could work out something similar where you have a few favorites at a special price for jurors. Knowing I could get a good, hearty lunch for a good price was one of the few upsides of jury duty (I did meet my wife there but that's another story).

Is that a second level deck on the building (over the covered porch)?  If so, is it ever used?  Might it be?

Enjoyed lunch at CHP today.  Didn't have to use the garage because there was ample parking on APR Blvd.  Enjoyed some jerk wings and a burger.  Service was great.

@urbanlibertarian glad you enjoyed it, hope to see you again soon : ) ....maybe on your birthday when you get half off lunch plus free Happy Hour drinks up to the value of your food

@blizz01 yes, that's our rooftop patio. We often rent it out for private parties or networking luncheons for free, if your party buys food & drinks, or orders our catering. If you need more info, email carla.jones@cityhallpub.com

@thekillingwax nice to hear! and I'd love to hear how you met your wife : )

I had only been to City Hall Pub after Jags or Suns games... and that was mainly to have a beer or three.  :)

Read that you had some 1901 wings in honor of the Great Fire, so I figured 'what better way to start off Great Fire Friday than to stop in for some wings?'

I had site visits today so I stopped by for lunch.  The wings were really good.  Hope to make it back to eat more.

I have eaten here a handful of times both during previous incarnations and as what we know today as our very own City Hall Pub. We tried to find some food here this week Thursday evening only to be disappointed. What time does the kitchen stop serving? The ball game had ended and folks were streaming out and it would seem to be an ideal place and time to grab a bite. Alas, nothing but drunken bar goers and general chaos. As we have often done in the past, we ended up at Kickbacks! All well and good only it took over an hour to get a burger and cheese sticks! Why isn't there another choice? I want more from City Hall Pub!

CityHallPub

@Ethylene I'm glad you thought we'd be an ideal place to grab a bite after the game. We're working hard to make that impression! So, I'm sorry we dropped the ball. Our kitchen usually stays open til 2 a.m. Did someone say the kitchen was closed early? Did you have trouble getting a server?

I liked my food.  My only suggestion would be better ranch.  I'm a ranch snob  :) The stuff sysco sells sucks.  Its not all that difficult to make your own.

Otherwise, I might be back Saturday for a bite before the game.

What servers? From the moment the oblivious drunken/dancing/swaying pair stepped on my bare toes at the front door as we entered, the promise of sating our hunger was dashed. There was no one eating whatsoever. Just people on their feet or stationed on stools at the bar listening to a pretty good band doing their rendition of Santana. We opted for a spot out on the south patio. After maybe 5 minutes of sizing up the situation, we literally bailed over the brick wall to avoid having to go back into the main bar area. It looked to me as though the party was over and it was just a few drunken stragglers finishing things up. Not a way to start the evening for sure. I can't tell you what time it was maybe sometime between 9:30 and 10pm. Thanks for asking.

CityHallPub

Haha, thanks for being so descriptive! As a new bar, you've offered the best complaint we can get--people enjoying themselves in a packed place-- but I completely understand your frustrations, and we're definitely working on employing more servers who are qualified to handle the massive traffic we get before and after Suns games. We also are working on a more welcoming atmosphere that will include more space. We're building out a second level area that will accomodate our customers who seek a more relaxed space.

But for now, I suggest you allow us to change your opinion with a visit next Tuesday for our Fat Tuesday Night. Click here for all the specials: http://twaud.io/2wY

Went again for lunch... you guys/gals have some great fries!  Still wish you had better ranch, lol.
