Do you know of any? Is James W. Johnson or Henry Klutho buried in Jax? How about Eartha White? or Isaiah Hart? Just curious to know.

I am sure at least a couple of those you mentioned are buried in Evergreen Cemetery up on Main St. Isaiah Hart is probably in the Old City Cemetery, though I am not 100% sure. I know that the monk who translated silent night from German to English is buried in the old city cemetery, and there are several former politicos and mayors buried in Evergreen.

Coolyfett

Evergreen? I'm not exactly sure where that is. I know the Old City on Union Street. Ill get someone to check it out with me.

Arthur G. Cummer (1894-1943)
Cummer was a prominent member of Jacksonville, active in the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and as a director of the Children's Home Society of St. Luke's Hospital. The Cummer family was known for its community spirit, and the family’s art collection and gardens laid the foundation for the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens.

That Cora Crane chick was a damn pimp!! anyhow....

There is a cemetery at the corner of Moncrief and Edgewood, but there is no signs for it. It's a big grave yard. Seems like it might be old, or maybe its just unkept. Do you have any info on this place?

That's the Greenwood Cemetary.  Its privately owned and has been not properly maintained for decades.  My parent's godparents lived in that area in the early 1980's and I remember it being overgrown then.  First Coast News has a story about it on their website:

!!!! dude some of those graves are open. ie. concrete slabs that cover the coffins in the concrete boxes are either gone, cracked to where you can actually look inside or filled with garbage. This was back in 2005. I have not been in there since. I heard the guy who made American Beach owned the graveyard first.

From what I remember, last year or '06, the Phi Theta Kappa folks were organizing clean up of those cemeteries along Moncrief.  It's insane, some of the stones are an inch or so off the asphalt.  The last time I was doing photos out there, we found a take out container of ribs shoved into a cracked open casing.  From what I understand, there's several out different cemetaries out there, there's just no delineation.

Can anyone tell me where "Annie Lytle " is laid to rest?   I have heard much about this former principal of Riverside Park Grammar... just wondered where she is now?
