Just got some index prints back for three rolls today, two hp5 and one c41 walgreens (desperate for film) roll and Fototechnika did a great job on them.  They are having a pretty impressive sale at the moment so check them out if you need any processing done.

Oh, to have seen this a few days ago! Instead, I had my film processed at a big place at the Town Center. It was quick and they did alright (and were open over the weekend), but local places do better work.

JC, you're my new friend because you, too, still use film. Have you tried Chelsea Photographic? That's where I had work printed in the past.

Great subway shot, by the way.

Hello new friend!

I have not tried Chelsey Photographic but I will definitely give them a look!

They are also having a bit of a sale, might want to check with them but I paid 4.00 a roll for 36 exposure ilford hp5, and they scanned them to disk for 2.00 a roll.  In NY just processing non c41 film costs 16.00 a roll.  All in all, they processed 3 rolls, printed indexes for each and scanned them in hi res tiffs for about 26.00.

Sort of funny though, I am going backwards with my photography.  I actually started shooting digital because photography for me was never about the process, it was about capturing the moment regardless of equipment.  I still feel that way in many situations, these were all shot with a sony a700 dslr.

This past weekend I had a little volunteer gig shooting an event at the library and I shot two rolls 36exp and something like 400 digital images.  I am waiting to get my scans back but I am pleased with the digital images.  I have some photo essays in mind that I plan to shoot with my Olympus om1, they will be in the tradition of street photography.

I just find getting negatives back to be so rewarding!
