The ticket sales gauge was updated this afternoon.  420 new season tickets sold this week and over 3,160 so far this year--that's all new tickets, not the renewals.  We're at 18% on renewals so far.

We still have a long way to go, but it's good to see a positive response.

New Data is up as of today.  Looks like they had another decent week, but a long way to go.  The renewals are up to 27% so far, and its still rather early in that process.

My wife and I bought season tix this year and look forward to having them the rest of our lives!

This is the week the renewal gears start really spinning.

I renewed mine today into the new 30/30 plan.  Even with money being tight it was the best thing I've done all year.  See you guys/gals this season!

According to jaguars .com as of today:

4,528 new season ticket sales
11,460 season ticket renewals (42%)
15,872 season tickets remaining to be renewed
19,097 new sales remaining to fill general bowl
34,969 tickets remaining to be sold or renewed
50,957 tickets to avoid blackouts (fill general bowl)

These figures do not include club seats or suites, just the seats that count towards the blackout number.

It is, but we've been consistently selling 400-500 new tickets a week, and by all accounts 42% isn't a bad thing--everyone who seems to know something about the situation says the vast majority of ticket renewals occur close to the deadline.

This has really been encouraging, and the ticket office is obviously working overtime--I e-mailed my friend there the other night after 7:00 and got a reply right back.

Look for me in the west club.  Hmmmm...  I probably need to replace my Reggie Nelson jersey.  ;D

I don't know...obviously there are a lot of people who would like to see that happen, but I don't think the non-renewers are making their renewal contingent on that at all, just waiting until the last minute.

And the 400-500 new sales per week is quite good...the sales efforts have been consistent, the sales haven't faded after an initial burst.  Compare to last year when the Jags sold 13 total season tickets in January, and two of those were to me.

I'm not a big pro football fan but this new incentive may turn me into a season ticket holder:

Miss Fixit, with the season ticket holder ID card you can also get discounts at many and varied local businesses that participate in the Jaguars Rewards program.  There's an extensive list of them on the Jaguars' website.  I'm an out of town ticket holder but I use it to get discounts at the hotel where I stay, the Metro Diner, Gate stations, and some stores.  Participating businesses usually have a (small and not particularly well publicized) Jaguars Rewards sticker in the front window.  Some ticket holders who live in the area have reported being able to save hundreds of dollars a year through Jaguars Rewards.
