I mean shooting ranges already fall under EPA guidelines for environmental impact isn't that enough? This is just a way to take away one of the few enjoyabe right we have. God!

non sequitur much?

What are you talking about?  Maybe a link or quote or something about what exactly is "Safer Alternatives Proposals"?

Please?

My bad.  The NRA website details this atrocity.  Apparently some tree huggers out there want to ban lead based ammunition. Give me a break!  Of course if you read between the lines, this is a play to limit your right to bear arms.  It's every red blooded american's birth right to pop a cap every once in a while. Okay?

Ahhh, now I understand.   Will have to ponder this one awhile.  Like what is the alternative to lead in bullets?  How much more does the alternative cost?  How does it affect performance?

But, I have heard talks by gun control folks, that controlling ammo would be a way to achieve their ends, and not run afoul of the 1st Amendment - assuming that "bullets" are not "arms".

The alternatives will cost more no doubt.  Yet, ponder this:  You've got somebody in your crosshairs, you're ready to take him out with your full-jacket man stoppers.  Do you care if it's lead or some exotic metal bullet that's less harmful to him?  Would the gun control folks care?
