Problem is, previous GMs have been shitty drafters.

Man, I could only salivate & ponder last night watching David Garrard with time to throw 40-yarders to top tier receivers like Ochocinco......

He had time because nobody was rushing the passer.  The game was a joke.

It was nice to see Garrard get a chance to play well and throw some good passes after all the heat he took for being there, as though it were his fault so many players dropped out.  He certainly put up a better showing than his fellow replacement Vince Young.  It'd be nice if that's a harbinger of what he can do in 2010 with better protection.

I don't think Ochocinco is a top tier receiver anymore, though.  Not to say he's not a quality starter but his reputation is greater than his production, and his speed isn't what it used to be.  I think our receiving corps is fine; at least, there are several bigger concerns on the team.

Just watched some highlights from the Pro Bowl. Garrard looked pretty sharp. I would say it's from a better o-line and a limited amount of defensive pressure allowed. Regardless I think he could be a top 10 QB with better protection.

MJD's 'Mariucci' dance was hilarious... Jaxson Deville topped it off by waving off the cameras.

I watched a bunch of the clips of MJD being interviewed and interviewing other players...he did a great job. I think he's got a great broadcast career waiting for him and we're lucky for the exposure he brings to the team and the city.
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

A game in which each team had 500 yards of o - quite the Defensive struggle.....

Just purchased Season Tickets! I want to encourage those of you who can to do the same. The guy on the phone said things have been going pretty good. Let's sell out the stadium!

Good work fsujax!!!!  cheers!  I've got a group of 14, about 10 or 11 of them are going to be first year season ticket holders.  GO JAGS!!  Now go buy a Jags license plate!

I just renewed last week! I strongly encourage the regulars of this forum to buy tix and support the Jags anyway you can (within financial reason). I know there have been posts in the past that the city and Jags cart people out of downtown to fast after the game, and I agree with that issue. But we all need to do our part to support this vital part of our community....

PS It's a blast too!!

You can follow the pace of ticket sales on the Jaguars' website by clicking on the "You are the fuel" link.  It's updated every Friday afternoon and breaks out new ticket sales, completed renewals, and pending renewals.  (This is only for general bowl tickets and doesn't include club seats or specialty sections--they're only tracking seats that count toward the blackout figure.)  As of last Friday we were at 2,700 new sales and it has been going up by 300-400 seats per week.

Don't forget that if you don't go to the games but want to help, you can always buy and donate tickets if you so choose--the Jaguars' ticket office is very helpful with this and will even distribute the tickets to the donee for you in some circumstances.  The USO, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Jacksonville Historical Society, among other charities, accept donated tickets.

First time season ticket holder here. I just got two seats last week. I went to the stadium ticket office and you can talk to a person and walk around the stadium with him to choose your exact seats. It was very helpful to see that for the same price some tix are much closer to the field, near an aisle or, like the ones I got, at the top of a gate with a little more legroom. It was cool to be in the quiet stadium too.

Sounds like progress.....

Tony Boselli's Team Teal initiative is also doing a great job of reaching out to the business community and making memorable fan experiences at rallies around the area.  HOPEFULLY it's going to extend out beyond the immediate five-county MSA toward Daytona, Orlando, and Savannah too.
