I just wonder if the NFL had the foresight to create an "NFC Championship Game MVP" hat small enough to fit that coin.

Even though the outcome was good (IMHO), I still don't like "sudden death" for NFL overtime - especially in the post season. Play 10 minute OT periods, give each team 1 possession, something to take away the influence of the coin toss.

Well, if the Vikes hadn't been picked off, they wouldn't have had to deal with OT. IMO, it is fine, you had chances to finish them off, but didn't, and suffer the consequences of not doing so.

I guess it's kinda harsh to say curse, it's just.. Keenan, Tom, Leftwich, Brunell.

I agree. Each team should touch the ball at least once.  That's too much riding on a coin toss.

Disagree.  First do not allow yourself to get into an overtime situation... second... if you lose the toss... simply keep em from scoring.

Each team should get a shot to score, and both teams should be encouraged to score a TD rather than a Field goal.   Win the toss, kick a field goal - not that difficult. Too much riding on luck, it should be about ability.

I heard on the radio this morning that the team that won the coin toss in OT went 7-6 this year. The college format is still better IMO.
