Maybe a first half of blitzes to change their minds.

A first half of blitzes would accomplish the goal of having them rest their starters because the Jaguars cannot get home on the blitz and Manning would have them ahead by 28 points at the half.

The Colts are undefeated and clearly the better team, but two questions:

1) Why does everyone assume they will beat us?

They won 14-12 the first week of the year.  The Jaguars were clearly a much worse team Week 1 than they are here in Week 15.  We have grown each and every week (though sometimes more tangible than others) and have improved each week.  I am sure the Colts have as well, but losing by only 2 points on the road with 5 rookies playing (3 starting) in their first ever game does not necessarily spell doom to me in Week 15 at home.

2)  If making the playoffs is going to be worthwhile, shouldn't we need to be good enough to beat a full-strength Colts team at home?

Making the playoffs is cool and all, don't get me wrong, but what good is it if we are just to get smoked in the first game?  If this team is good enough to beat a full strength Indy team at home and NE team on the road in the next two weeks, then this team is good enough to make some noise in the tournament.  If we aren't good enough to beat Manning and full supporting cast at home we shouldn't want to lose the draft position and make the playoffs anyway.  We WANT them at full strength and full effort in this game because that is a true barometer of whether the Jaguars have what it takes to do more than be the "already in the ring" team in a playoff game.

I will feel much better if Rashean and Big John are playing.

A-freaking-men.  The draft position is not as much of a concern, because draft position only changes for the two super bowl teams, and one game is not a huge difference either way.

Looks like we have a sellout!!

No, there are still tickets left, but enough have been sold to avoid a blackout.

Lake, you are the victor and I will await your avatar pic selection.  :'(

Here is your new avatar.  Something to keep the memory of the game alive.

With all the sarcasm going on based on attendance at Jaguars games, even when we have tickets sold they still make fun of it....  Just now on Sportscenter, they said,"the Jaguars are going to try something different, and play to a sold out home stadium".  Then the guy insinuated that it was the Colts fans buying all the tickets.  It's really odd we don't hear any of this negativity about the other teams having trouble selling tickets....

^Find me a team that is in a playoff race that routinely has 20,000 empty seats each week.

Good to see all the non-premium seats sold, the 50-100 buck seats. Anyone want some $210 club seats, which are still available for the game?

Although it felt and looked like a Dolphins home game in my section

how...did you see a bunch of empty orange seats after halftime?

A few, but not enough to keep them off local tv or stimulate rumors of a move to LA.

Lake...did you see all those empty seats in Miami today?

thelakelander

Sure.  However, it would look a lot more full if they covered up a good portion of them before selling tickets. ;)

Anyway, its the end of the season for a team not going to the playoffs, Christmas weekend and against Houston.  Not the necessary ingredients for a sellout in Miami.

The Dolphins and Jaguars both pretty much suck for this season...I have a gut feeling that both will be players in the post season next year. Similar young teams with talent that needs to develop (and have a strong draft).

that hasn't helped the Marlins or UM games look full :D

True but neither is talking about going to LA or being blacked out more than shown either.  Btw, if you think they struggle with attendance down there, imagine them here.  The probably struggle to average 5k per game.
