The Cleveland game is on the road.  The Indy game is the last home game of the year.  If the Jaguars have to consistently rely on such as winning back to back games against undefeated Indianapolis and on the road in New England to sell tickets, we will never sell out the stadium.

sorry, i saw it wrong, yea looks like indy is it. oh well.

It's sad that we depend on other teams on the schedule to sell tickets, the only team that matters is the Jags. I don't care who they are playing from Oakland to New England, I am there no matter what. Its going to be sad to see a bunch of Buffalo fans at the game this Sunday and empty seats cause we cant even get Jags fans out there for a HOME game.....

It makes me very angry.  I am living in Virginia this year, and this will be the 3rd game I have driven to Jacksonville for.  It's 9 hours.  I don't do it so I can brag, I do it because I love the Jaguars and want to see them win and stay in Jacksonville.  It is going to be another sad showing this week.  The only thing they can do is win this week and win at San Fran next week.  If they do that then hopefully people will show some support for the 3 game homestand.  I, unfortunately, will be in Jax. for the last time in 2009 this weekend, so I can't help anymore!

Where in Va do you live?  I drive down from Va to games too.

Lynchburg.  I am born and raised in Jacksonville and worked there for a couple years when I got out of school.  Moved here in 2007, but I am moving back this coming spring, so I'll have season tix next year and a much shorter commute to the stadium.

I think I have gathered you are over in Hampton Roads somewhere?

Yes, just outside of Newport News.

Feel free to bring a whole bus load of people from VA. We can surely use them in the seats.....

The thing I hate is the whole, "if we win this" or "when we win that", the seats will be sold, its a disgrace. I don't want this team to leave, I love having the NFL here and love the Jags, but if people don't wake up, we are going to lose this team. Then I'll have to go to a local sports bar to watch football and be surrounded by 100 Steeler fans who have never been to Pittsburgh, what is wrong with this city?

I was born and raised in NYC as a NY Giant fan and as soon as I moved to Jax I started watching the Jags. I bought season tickets 2 years later and am now in my 6th year as a season ticket holder. I understand supporting the team you maybe grew up watching, and I say maybe because I think most of the Steeler/Colt/Titan/etc... fans are all bandwagon fans. You have an NFL team here in the city you live in, how can you not support them? It just blows my mind. You were born in Orange Park or Southside and you wear a Big Ben jersey cause your grandfather was born in a town 90 miles outside of Pittsburgh, it makes no sense.

I am a die hard NY Mets fan and the one thing we always say is, "it's easy to be a Yankee fan".... That's how I feel about all these Steelers and Colts fans we have here in town.....

Im just venting.... GO JAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TREE4309

I'm a Jags fan first and foremost, and I watch every game I can.  This is the first year I haven't been a season-ticket holder in quite a while.  That being said, The Steelers and Colts are fun to watch...what's not to like about that, too?  You were a Giants fan..why'd you stop being a Giants fan?  Because you moved to Jax?  I lived in DC for 12 years from the mid 80s to the mid 90s...never was a Redskins fan, even when they were winning Super Bowls.  You're complaining about bandwagon fans, yet you just admitted to jumping ship...I'm confused.

Agreed - I'm going to hit this hard in the fourth and fifth installments of the Jaguars series.  Jacksonville got too good too fast.  This team never has gone through a season like they are this year (2004 was similar, but not the same), which is a rebuilding year.  They've never had a disaster season (like a 3-13 year).  They went to the AFC Championship in 1996, their second year.  Furthermore, we have perrrenially good colleges (mainly because the college system allows them to be), and colleges don't have to build talent, because most players are starters for only two years.

One of the fun aspects to me of being a fan is to watch a player develop year after year.  The player I've enjoyed watching is Darryl Smith, one of their outside linebackers.  He's been a ton of fun to watch for me.

BTW, I grew up on Long Island - I'm a big Mets fan, and I'm still pissed how the front office wrecked Todd Hundley's career.
