Here is a great new blog I found on Jacksonville politics. On the upper right hand corner, it has a petition to bring an ethical look at the bidding process (in this case the Trail Ridge landfill deal).

The problem with the petition as I see it. If we remove Republic from the bidding process, so Webb and his "bud's" don't profit, then we give it to Waste Management, so Peyton's "bud's" can profit. Hell of a choice eh?

I'm not signing ANYTHING, let them go to court and bash each others brains out. Costly, yes, but maybe we'll get lucky and the whole bunch of them will go to jail.

I don't know anything about the Waste Management stuff, but I am going off of what I have read in the TU over the last week or so...Webb WORKED for a company that wanted our tax dollars!!

I signed the petition. For nothing else but to send a message to the Council and to Webb that they need to know we are watching their every move.

I really hope others sign it too!!
