Hello, all!

I'm a longtime Arlington resident in a rather peculiar position. I was born and raised here. My mother was black and my father was white... and I was born in 1966, when such unions were extremely rare and not very socially acceptable. This gives me a rather unique perspective on race relations, which I hope will enable me to lend some insight to discussions on this board.

However, my immediate reason for joining up here is because I need HELP with something that has nothing to do with my ethnic background. My house could topple into a polluted creek because of short-sightedness and stupidity on the part of the COJ... plus other nasty things that could wreak havoc on the rest of my neighborhood. Details will follow after I calm down.
