Good points Steve. I thought the same thing about that Jets game. We still have an easy stretch of games coming up. The Seahawks with Hasselbeck at QB are  much better than people realized. Before last season, the had made the playoffs something like 6 years straight.

Brian Sexton summed it up perfectly... after reading a Bud Light commercial about "drinkability" he said "if this game was a beer - It'd be hard to swallow"

Very disappointing. If Harvey can't rack up 1 sack against a lineman just called up from the practice squad.... he's not NFL caliber.

At least Groves hit somebody... albeit on the way to the air port.
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Copperfiend-- have we not learned yet there is no such thing as an easy schedule especially when talking about the Jags. We had this same issue last yr with a so called easy teams and what happen. They only defeated the Lions. I'll be in the stands very nervous next Sunday.

^ Should make this sunday's game that much better!  After only getting to hear the Jags/Titans stomping and then having to watch the Jags do the opposite the next week we should be excited to get to see our home town heroes possibly lay another NFL sized stomping.

"Let's go Jaguars, Let's GO!  Woot Woot!!!!

Steve

I'll say this.  Anyone can be anyone on any given week (usually not 41-0 however).  With that said, I am confident that the Jags will win this week.  Maybe I shouldn't be, but I am.

I assume it refers to the fact that when you read the T-U message boards, the Jaguars.com boards, etc. there's a number of people who seem to take pleasure in mocking the team, speculating on/rooting for its moving, proudly declaring reasons for not buying tickets despite having the means to do so, etc.  It comes off as self-immolation much like knocking down historic buildings without realizing what they're worth.

Bingo.

The Jags should've kicked the field goal, instead of going for it on forth down. Seattle took that decision as trying to show them up, and momentum clearly changed after that. If you can't get a TD on three downs, then why try for 4th, esp. on the first drive of the game? I personally thought that going for it was dumb, but I guess that's just me. We will never win cosistently until we put some kinda pressure on the opposing QB.

I couldn't believe Garrard threw the ball away on fourth down.

We went for it because we're the Cardiac Cats, too bad most fans went into cardiac arrest after watching that game.

Sam with Channel 4 sports said that it was obvious that the Seattle film studies snuffed out that 4th down and 1 play. With a runner like MJD, why throw? Then Garrard throws it away? Throw it at a Jag, maybe we get pass-interference, something.

I don't think the whole team was ready, mentally, to play that game.

Clearly they were not.  They treated this as a high school field trip.  One guy is so late for the charter he causes a three car pileup at the airport, and actually misses the flight.  The other actually made the flight but enjoyed the extra time in Seattle to party and miss curfew.  Seattle is a fun town but visit during the off season... These were just the two that got caught effing up.  Chances are real good many of the players spent too much time NOT preparing for the game.  JDR was right to de activate Sims Walker... I bet he wanted to deactivate a few others also...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

The Rams of 2009 are the Lions. They are god awful.

:)  and you were saying, I had to take two tylenol when I got home from the game. As I said no such thing as a easy game when dealing with the Jags. Anyway glad we won.
